Our success is due in great part to our generous sponsors.

Please support our tournament sponsors, as they support us!

2008 Bears Golf Classic
October 17, 2008

Last year's golf tournament was our best ever, raising over $25,000 for our students. We hope to exceed that this year with your participation as a player or sponsor.

The tournament serves as the primary fund raising vehicle for the North Carolina School for the Deaf at Morganton Foundation.

The Bears Golf Classic generates financial support to enable our deaf students to realize their unlimited potential. Your participation and sponsorship is critically important. Through your support, we are able to provide scholarships for college bound students and enhance the educational environment at NCSD.

We hope you will again sponsor this event, or if you haven't participated in the past, join us for a day of networking and great golf!

The Bears Golf Classic will be held this year on Friday, October 17th.  For the 5th year, we will be returning to the Silver Creek Plantation Golf Course in Morganton, NC.

The Silver Creek Golf Course is a championship design by Tom Jackson, one of today's leading golf architects. The par 72, 18-hole layout occupies 170 acres and challenges golfers of all skill levels. It has Bermuda fairways, immaculate bent grass greens, and breathtaking views of mountains, ponds, and streams.

The tournament will be an 18-hole, 4-person, captain’s choice scramble. Lunch and dinner sandwiches and drinks will be provided. Prizes are awarded to the top three teams in both the gross and net divisions. Each player receives welcoming gift items.

Additional prizes will be awarded for Holes-In-One, the longest drive, and closest to the pin. You will have a chance to participate in a Silent Auction. Range balls will be provided free of charge.

Only a mile from I-40 exit 98, Silver Creek is an easy 10-minute drive from the North Carolina School for the Deaf, a 30-minute drive from Hickory, with its furniture outlets, 45 minutes from Asheville, and less than 90 minutes from Charlotte.
